ARP Pro Series Connecting Rod Bolts
The ARP L19 is used as standard, for its additional strength and reliability that they offer. This is vacuum melted alloyed steel with sufficient chromium and carbon to achieve high hardness. It is a proprietary material capable of achieving an impressive clamping force of 260.000/270.000 psi as may be required.
These bolts were designed for drag racers or street racers, running on high boost engines, that need more clamping force and tensile strength than the ARP2000 Stud Kit can offer. If you are looking for the best option, you’ve found it, as these are 15% stronger than ARP2000 and have a 55% increase in tensile strength over the OEM torque to Yield (TTY Bolts) !!
Like most high strength, quench and temper steels – L19 requires special care during manufacturing to avoid hydrogen embrittlement. This material is easily contaminated and subject to stress corrosion. It must be kept well-oiled and not exposed to moisture.
Yield Strength: 200-230,000 PSI Tensile Strength: 260,000 PSI
This setup is capable of 800Hp in four cylinder engines and 1000+ in six cylinders. Although they are fractionally more expensive, we feel that they accompany our rods very well so we have not increased the price of the set. This translates to the best value for money rods in the market!
These bolts along with ZRP rods make a bulletproof combination, capable of more than 1000Hp!

We recommend to only using the supplied ARP Ultra torque fastener assembly lube. This lube reduces friction about 25-30% in comparison to engine oil. The above mentioned values are valid only if the thread and seat area of the bolt has been lubed properly.
ARP Ultra-Torque™ Fastener Assembly Lubricant
Gets you within 5% of the required pre-load on the first pull and stays consistent with each subsequent cycle-race prep, machining, pre-assembly and final assembly. Premium grade moly base with rust and corrosion inhibitors. Effective lubrication range -30° to 550°F, with a load range of 500,000 psi.
- Eliminates preload scatter
- Remains consistent on every cycle
- Resists fastener loosening
- Saves Time – no need to re-torque 6+ times
- Maintains consistent clamping force
- An absolute “must” for any serious engine builder
